In a move to stay somewhat relevant, LG has just released the Optimus G, the company’s new flagship device. The Optimus G is going right after other top tier phones like the iPhone 5 and the Galaxy S III with its 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, a 4.7-inch WXGA True HD (1280×768) display, 32GB of RAM, a massive 13-megapixel camera (a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera), Bluetooth 4.0, and like the Galaxy S III, 2GB of RAM.
The Optimus G goes on sale in South Korea next week for the off-contract price of $900 (ouch), where it will do battle with its Korean rival, Samsung and their Galaxy S III. If this sounds like a device you’d really like to get your hands on, don’t fret, you’ll have your chance when the Optimus G arrives in the US come November—hopefully with a subsidized price.
